After the tragic death of her brother and her parents separate, Alison Shaw (Alexandra Daddario)'s mother (Lindsay Lohan) sends her away to live with her father (Ryan Eggold) and his girlfriend Lisa (Jennifer Aniston) and her daughter Amanda (Anne Hathaway).

Amanda seems to have everything Alison doesn't, except one thing: James Spader's friendship. Alison and James have been best friends since high school. When James tells Alison that the director for Boston Legal is looking for someone to play as Alan's girlfriend, and that he wants her to play the role, Alison jumps for the chance.

However, Alison must learn to tango with James, and allow him to get intimate with her when need be. Lisa immediately sends Amanda to try out for the role, knowing she has always dreamed of being a star with James Spader.

Who will get to play as Alan Shore's girlfriend?

Will a fire of romance spark between James and Alison?
