I Lost Everything, and Regained Nothing

WARNING- SPOILERS!!!

A girl, abandoned by her mother at the age of 12 for drugs, tries to find her way through life. She knew about her mother's addiction, and her mother would always tell her she was a mistake. But Amy knows better. When she's 16 she moves far away, having not spoken to neither of her parents for years. Amy gets a phone call from her step dad, which Amy only knew as the boyfriend that 'stole' her mother when she was 12. He tells her that her mother died of a fatal heart attack. One of the many side effects of the Heroin drug. Although she never really knew her mother, she still loved that memory of her before the addiction. As Amy tries to recollect herself, she holds onto everything she knows to be true because the pain feels like the weight of the world.
