He looked up at me then, a barely readable expression on his face. My chest tightened slightly as he just watched me, his eyes tracing over my face.

After a few silent minutes, he finally straightened up in his chair and tossed the Prophet into the chair next to him before looking back at me. "Weasley is an idiot."



It's 2002, four years after Hermione graduated from Hogwarts. In the midst of planning her wedding to Ron, her life turns upside down by news that breaks her heart, and when a certain blond wizard shows back up in her life, she realizes that maybe what she planned for isn't what she truly wants.
