I'm Dayna, I'm 17, and it's my turn for Alpha...

I've been living on my own for about 3 in a half years. I have my own house, go to a human school, pay bills... just like an adult. I chose to live this life because I hated being a werewolf. My mother is currently Alpha Female for the Voyage pack. They travel every 5 years until the Alpha finds their mate. 

I was always a loner. I'm different than the others. I don't always chase after bunnies or fight off other packs on a daily basis. No one knows that I'm a wolf and it has to stay that way for a while until I become Alpha and find my mate. It'll be hard. 

I moved to a new school since that someone kind of caught me shifting in and out of my wolf body. I had to leave unless they'd tell someone. 

This new school I'm at really changed for the better. Especially when I met him...

Of course it was destined that I had to earn his love for me but since the day I saw him. But... will he accept me for me?

At first it was quiet but every time I got closer it became louder. 

I followed the heartbeat that lead me to my first period. My mom told me when I was younger that if you hear a heartbeat, you should be able to find and meet your mate. I was full questions so I opened the door. The teacher looked at me in disappointment. 

"You're lucky you're a new student, Miss. Anderson." He scowled. I huffed and looked at the class. There was this guy that stood out from the rest of the class. He was so handsome I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He stared at me back in confusion. 

"Mate?" I whispered. 

Who knew that he was human...
