Once upon a time, a merman fell in love with a human. He watched this human from afar until he rescued them by accident, and he fell even deeper in love. He traveled down to the sea witch's cave and begged to become human to be with his love. The witch recalled a time in which he had fallen in love with a human as well, and from out of the kindness of his heart, granted his wish, unaware that they seemed to kindle a flame for the same a human. Though, both are determined to be the win the heart of the mortal they love, no matter what it takes.
