Our hero, Ayazaka Kousei, a partial ghost regained half of his memories on the sight of the statue which exactly looked like him. He learned that when he was alive, he loved a certain girl named Tsujidou Miyuri who is also her best friend for 13 years. He saw her but, the reaper forbids physical contact with her because he will regain more of his memories and will plant regret and sorrow in his heart. If that happens, he can no longer return to Heaven and will have to remain on Earth forever without gaining peace. However, he really loves Miyuri and even went as far as to break the rule just to have a physical contact with her. He became a complete Ghost and now he has to suffer in Earth. What will happen to Kousei and his love for Miyuri?
