Ren had always been strange. She didn't mind it. She had grown up, along with her cousin Jake, hearing tales of children who could do incredible things. Special children. She believed in their grandfather's stories with all her heart, for a long time at least. Then, like all children, Ren grew too old to believe in her grandfather Abe's stories. Or at least she had to pretend to. She pretended so well, she even forgot her own strangeness. When she travels to Wales with her cousin and uncle, Ren remembers just how strange she is. Just how peculiar. When she meets a certain dead riser, she's not sure exactly how to feel about him and Enoch certainly acts like he wants nothing to do with her.
