To Keep Her Safe is All I Know
Chris Cerulli's best female friend has been Melanie Dawson since they were in childhood. They never ever saw themselves as anything more than that. They had an absolutely wonderful friendship together though. After being friends for over twenty-five years, they'd been through pretty much everything together. Chris was even up front with the bridesmaids when Melanie got married. Melanie is a pathologist (a doctor that performs autopsies on dead bodies) and is often busy with her work. Chris is obviously busy with the band too, but he and Melanie still managed to keep their friendship in tact and Chris was even close with Melanie's daughter, Sadie, and friends with Melanie's husband, John. After nearly ten years of marriage, Melanie finds herself divorced from John, and on her own with Sadie. When Sadie was born, Chris was the first one to hold her after Melanie and John. So having Chris around more often is wonderful for Sadie; mostly because Chris is very understanding of her and incredibly open-minded. Sadie is just a bit...different, and Chris is the perfect example for her to show that being different is an okay and good thing. When tragedy strikes, Chris is immediately there for Melanie and Sadie and instantly knows how to comfort them. With being so close to Melanie this often now, Chris begins to realize that maybe, after all these years, he might have been looking at her the wrong way, and feelings may be starting to develop. Chris Motionless first discovered the all-girl metal band, Tag, You're It when they were all on Warped Tour together and he started up a conversation with their drummer, Reed. After discovering that all of the members are female and getting to talk to them here and there over the course of Warped Tour, he discovers that there's something very interesting about them; their singer, Hunter DeMonic, in particular. So, once Warped Tour ends, Tag, You're It is invited to tour with Motionless in White on Motionless' next headlining our. Of course, Tag, You're It agrees to go on this tour. However, the band as currently struggling with some issues with certain members of the band, and it results in them having to get a new bass player for the next tour. This new bass player is Blake, a spunky red-head with a shy personality, but who is killer on stage. Chris notices in himself an attraction to this Blake, but also to Hunter, and he finds himself torn between them. Do either of the members of Tag, You're It have feelings for Chris as well? As he gets to know them on a more personal level, it appears that they may. However. Hunter has a very strict no-dating-members-of-bands-we-tour-with rule due to problems with their old bassist. When Blake feels like love is an actual possibility with Chris, will Hunter allow this rule to be broken? Will the tour turn into a disaster because of this love-triangle? Trust me, this is not your typical band-member-dates-another-band-member story.
