Bermuda, World War Two.

In 1945, a crucial descision had to be made. The Allied Forces were crumbling under the New World Union's army coming out of Japan, Hawaii, and Norway. General Abbott Lee, a Canadian soldier, made his men go west and go into the island of Bermuda, but were counterflanked by the NWU. This descision, as known in the day and age, ended the free world and crippled every capitalist country in the Allies.

Chicago, Post war (1966)

Riots across Illinois have been reported since the NWU has purchased the Midwest from the United States in exchange for losing the war. At least fifteen Korean and Burmese soldiers were killed in these riots, and no more than a hundred men executed publically in example form.

Former District of Columbia region, Modern day (2002)

A child named Scott Thompson is born in an alleyway near what was known as District of Columbia. His mother was shot in the neck the second he was born and was taken into the orphanage system. Twenty years later, he is now a degenerate wanderer, and possibly the beginning reason of the Third World War.
