I write poetry to understand what poetry is.
I write to know who I am.
I write to make sense of the world.
I believe a poem is its own story.
I believe the order of a poem doesn't change its importance.
I believe a collection should follow the model of "Hopscotch" by Julio Cortázar.
I believe a poem should be a surprise.
I believe a poem should be lie an emotion-spontaneous and in-the-moment.
The order of contents is enumerated and at the end of each poem shall be the poem's title.

A Weight off My Mind - Time to Live
Regardless of size, putting your life on hold until you reach that perfect weight, does no one any good. This will be my collection of poems reflecting on societies obsession with weight and size and the effect this has on us and how we can change this. We shouldn't be allowing it to determine whether we should be happy, successful or loved. Enough is enough. Start living. You deserve it all now.
