Does evil lurk in old houses? And if so, why? Why is it that some people seem to draw these things out and others don't.
I have had, throughout my life, what I considered many isolated incidences, many strange happenings, but I never thought they were in any way connected. Now I think they are.
While trying to figure all of this out, my wife and I had to go back, back twenty-five plus years, to Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee, the place where it all began for the two of us, back to 1989 and back to the little house on Dale Street.

If I Die Young
(Prequel to Clair de Lune) "We're born to believe the opposite of different is normal, and vice versa. Well, I'm the opposite of both." I lost my parents just before my fifteenth birthday. The circumstances were deemed accidental and it was swept under the rug. Truth is, someone covered up the whole situation and I was sent somewhere I knew no one would find me. I was swept under the rug too. Critter Ridge Orphanage is an old building placed in the pines somewhere in the state of New Jersey, run by a kindly woman and housing a family of others like me. Boys and girls all different in their own aspects. They didn't like me and I didn't like them, which was fine. Miss Huld, the owner, seemed to like me enough and that was all I needed. Things changed, though. They found a dead body on our property and everyone scrambled to lock the doors and bar the windows. The normal kids at school all started to edge away from us, from me in particular. They called us witches and devil worshippers. They were scared they might be next. I couldn't keep my nose out of where it didn't belong and then everyone was involved in the mystery. There's ghosts around every corner in this house, and if we don't figure out what's wrong here, we might just become the next ones.Complete
Whispers on Blood Lake
THIS IS FICTIONAL! ITS NOT A TRUE STORY PLEASE DONT RESEARCH IT!! This book is based off the Conjuring and the Haunting of the Hill House Please enjoy ☺️ More than a century ago, the soil around Blood Lake ran red. A British regiment vanished there after a brutal clash with the Wampanoag tribe - and the land was cursed with the echoes of their rage. Now, in the present day, the Carter family moves into the lakeside house built over that haunted ground. For Michael Carter, a history teacher with a passion for old places, it's a dream home - a quiet escape for his wife Laura, their teenage daughter Emily, young son Ben, and their loyal German shepherd, Rex. But from their first night, the past refuses to stay buried. Gunfire cracks in the distance at dawn. War drums pound beneath the lake at night. Emily begins painting scenes she's never witnessed - of slaughter and smoke. Ben whispers about a friend no one else can see. And something inhuman walks the halls, leaving muddy footprints that never dry. As the haunting deepens, the Carters uncover the dark truth of what happened on Blood Lake - and realize the restless dead are not only reliving their final battle, but seeking vengeance. To free themselves, they must face the horrors of history itself... and the blood debt that demands to be paid. Suspenseful, atmospheric, and heart-pounding, Whispers on Blood Lake blends historical tragedy and modern terror in a tale that will leave readers sleeping with the lights on.Complete
