Siren's Call (A Midnight Guardian series short story)

This short story is from the world of the Midnight Guardian novels. In the novels, guardian Keira Ryan and her friends fight to protect our world from a gremlin-like, bloodsucking race called "mogdocs". The mogdocs are the original inhabitants of Atlantis. Centuries ago, in an effort to preserve the human race, the guardians created a magical barrier to seal off Atlantis from the human world. In Shadows Rising (Book 4 in the series), Keira and her friends cross the barrier to rescue her young charge. While Keira's adventure is told in Shadows Rising, this short follows Keira's human friends, Jumper Johnson and Colby Hayes, after they split up and insanity ensues as the boys find themselves in the center of history's most magically dangerous city.
