Jake- As an architecture student Jake has no time for a girlfriend. He barely has time for his friends, so he keeps his social obligations on the light side. Besides, his parents have implied that they would no longer help with tuition if he didn't take school seriously. The occasional hookup was all Jake needed, until he met Riley. Now he needs to decide which is more important, tuition or her. Riley- Being the new girl in town is lonely, especially when your brother and his asshole friends are having a party in your house and you are not invited. Losing herself in the pages of a romance novel while camping out in the library seems like a safe place to pass the time. Little did Riley know that her romance novel hero would find her there.

Riley pretends to be Harry's girlfriend to help him win back his mean ex-girlfriend, but things don't go according to plan. This leads to unconditional tears, bitter fights, and truths none of them were ready to accept. "A guy and a girl can be just friends, but at one point or another, they will fall for each other. Maybe temporarily, maybe at the wrong time, maybe too late, or maybe forever."

Sam is in love with Colby. Colby's forgetful mind ends up forgetting their special night, but he's fine with having a thing with Sam. A couple days after they start "dating" Colby goes out and hooks up with people, one ending up getting pregnant, Sam finds out and they begin becoming off and on, but in the end Sam is still here for his playboy best friend.

When Lexi meets Alec, she thinks that she has fallen in love. But when she notices his many flaws, she starts to think differently. And to make things more complicated, she starts to have feelings for someone unspeakable.
