This is the real story of King Ragnar Lothbrok of Denmark as recounted by the ancient Danish historians Sven Aggeson and Saxo Grammaticus in Book Nine of Saxo's series. There are other conflicting accounts of Ragnar Lothbrok and his sons and I have attempted to include those viewpoints as well when they can be worked into Saxo's historical timeline, but this Book 1 of my 'The Varangian' series will be attempting to show how Saxo blended fiction and true history in his Nine Books.Complete
