Rowan, the young daughter of the King and Queen, has always been different. She's not your typical princess. But it's not her fault, of course. She can't help that she is deaf, or that the castle's inhabitants always keep their distance.

Rokevir is a dragon, and is determined to live up to the expectations of his kind. That is, the usual killing, burning, plundering...until he meets that quiet human girl Rowan. Told in their words, this is the story of an unlikely bond that will change a kingdom forever.
