The Dæmon Connection

Imagine a world in which we share our souls and personality with someone. Now imagine that that someone is an animal that reflects who we are. This is what it's like to have a dæmon, a physical extension of yourself. This creature takes the form of the animal that most closely showcases your personality, will feel pain as you do, and will die when you die.
