Ariella is an awesome detective. She's strong, and effective; does her job well. She is one of Chief Detective Somer's most valuable and powerful assets, but that's because she has a special talent. Ariella's special talent is her most feared curse, and her darkest secret. Only a small number of Ariella's closest friend know her secret, because her secret could get people killed. Ariella doesn't know it yet, but soon she will find out that there is nothing in her world that will stop her from protecting the people she loves...not even her secret.

(What I have posted here is the first draft of what I have written so far. Mostly I am looking for some creative criticism. I am going to add my own illustrations, but until then I have borrowed some images of what I am imagining to illustrate the most important point in each of the chapters. I will also illustrate my own cover, when I get the chance to. I do plan on extending each chapter, adding more detail and more pertinent information as well. Let me know what you think!)

Ayn is a witch with healing powers. Shapeshifters have killed her parents and the only animals she cannot speak with are wolves. When she graduates from the Teaching Clan and finds out that she has to cross the River and live in the Wolves' Mountains for one year, she is less than amused. Kari, first-born shapeshifter Alpha, almost lost his wolf after the death of his mate. He could rise again and become the pack leader if only he would complete his training ...and find another suitable Luna. When he realizes that his second chance is his mother's guest, a daydreaming stubborn witch from across the River, he is less than amused. The bond may be a strong force, but can a witch walk the Wolves' Way and face the dangers it is paved with? **** "I need to stop..." I sigh, catching her wrist before her fingers reach the back of my neck, and I untangle her arm from me. She lingers on the recliner but now there is a big gap between our bodies. The warmth she left on my skin is quickly dissipating in the spring night. "Fine." Ayn stands and searches my eyes. Her scowl has my wolf whimper in submission and makes me curse my self-imposed hard line. "I am going to need your hoodie," she orders, stretching her hand out to me. "What?" I exclaim, briefly shocked by both the tone and the content of her words. My hands however are already executing her command, unzipping my jacket. "The last time I was able to sleep, I was covered with your hoodie. Your scent is comforting." She states it plainly as if it would be an obvious and broadly known fact. Like the Earth being round. Like two being a prime number. #1 in Healer - December 2021 #7 in Lycan - December 2022 ~95 000 words Cover photo by Jr Korpa via Unsplash Cover photo by Marc-Olivier Jodoin via Unsplash hi

. : Book One : . Melody is a member of one of the five tribes of animal shapeshifters who live beyond the human domain. These people have the ability to shapeshift into particular animals when they come of age in their tribe, attending something called the Ceremony. When given the chance to escape from her family, she jumps for it, spiraling into a world of mystery, danger, and unexpected surprises. But unknown to her, the spirits of the underworld have broken loose, and are tracking her every step. Why they want her, she has yet to know. But she will soon. Friends become enemies and families are reunited only to be broken apart. Whether she survives will be up to her companions as they race to right a world that has fallen drastically out of balance. * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * A haze darkened the edges of my vision and my knees buckled. This was too much, way too much. In half a day, my life had been turned upside down. Just as I was about to fall, the raven transformed into a boy and caught me. The bird had just turned into a boy. What the heck? What was an Avian doing on Lupine territory? * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * After much debate, I decided to discontinue this second book and series. I love the world and I built and the characters with all my heart but the writing is incredibly outdated and the plot progression is all over the place. I may reuse these characters in the future, but this series has come to an end. I'm sorry to the people who wished to see the story continue, but I hope you'll be able to join me on future fantastical journies once I have time to write more! * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * ~ * First Published: Dec. 20, 2018 Finished: Mar. 31, 2020 Finished Publishing: 5-23-2020
