Katherine Pierce and Cassandra Woodhouse have been best friends since the end of the 15th Century. A last-resort attempt at freedom led them to Mystic Falls, Virginia during the civil war. Cassandra never expected the town to feel so much like home, or to care so much for her host's eldest son. Still, leave she did. Now, 145 years later she must return to Mystic Falls, hoping to come and go undetected. Mystic Falls, however, is full of new secrets and people she thought she'd never see again.
Follow Cassandra as she is forced to reveal her own dark secrets, reunite with two of the most important people of her very long life, and deal with pain, horror, danger, and, most importantly, happiness. After all, You can only run away from your past for so long before it catches up to you and bites you. In some cases, literally.
A The Vampire Diaries, OC/Damon Salvatore love story I published back in 2011, and have decided to take off the dusty shelf, re-write, and finish. Begins near the end of Season One, and will follow through the series.
