Dan is a firebender and a soldier for his father, the king. He's the prince and for years on end, he's been given the task to capture as many icebenders as possible. Phil is an icebender and a rebel for a society his father created. Anyone who is against the king, mostly icebenders, can be a rebel and they're trained to be one as well. PJ is one of Phil's best friends along with Cat and Louise.
When the icebenders kidnap Dan, Dan resists helping them kill the king and get their friends back that are captured in the palace. But little does he know, the rebels have more tricks up their sleeves than he thought. When the king starts to threaten the rebels to get his son back, Dan and Phil must come together to destroy the kingdom and kill the king before their time and options run out.
~There are no huge trigger warnings but there are mentions of suicide, death, and violent/descriptive sections with blood, etc. ~

Dan Howell had been at a Catholic school all of his life. He ate, breathed and lived as a good Christian boy should. However, it didn't fit him, he didn't feel right promising himself to a God he didn't fully believe in. With countless rules Dan wasn't sure he could live his life to eternally, he starts to wonder if this life is his, or his parents. And soon, his depression may end up falling to deep. He gets hateful and rude comments on his videos that he posts to YouTube. He even gets hate on Twitter, Facebook, and Tumblr. What did he ever do to them? What did he do to deserve any of this?? His flatmate Dan doesn't know about Phil's depression, however. All he knows (thinks, rather) is that his best friend is staying strong through all of the hateful things he gets from people. But in reality, that's not what Phil is doing at all. He's not staying strong through the hate. He's just faking the smile for Dan so he wouldn't get so worried about him. Sure, Dan might be able to crack some real smiles out of him once in a while, but not every time. He also wears long sleeves and thick bracelets to hide the scars of his pain.
