Dan is a firebender and a soldier for his father, the king. He's the prince and for years on end, he's been given the task to capture as many icebenders as possible. Phil is an icebender and a rebel for a society his father created. Anyone who is against the king, mostly icebenders, can be a rebel and they're trained to be one as well. PJ is one of Phil's best friends along with Cat and Louise.
When the icebenders kidnap Dan, Dan resists helping them kill the king and get their friends back that are captured in the palace. But little does he know, the rebels have more tricks up their sleeves than he thought. When the king starts to threaten the rebels to get his son back, Dan and Phil must come together to destroy the kingdom and kill the king before their time and options run out.
~There are no huge trigger warnings but there are mentions of suicide, death, and violent/descriptive sections with blood, etc. ~

I've read a bunch of phan, so why not write one? Dan Howell's life couldn't be any better at the moment. He has met the most beautiful, charming, kind girl he could ever imagine, and she loves him back. Everything is perfect... but not for Phil. Phil doesn't need help, but Dan is adamant he helps the boy through his years at college. What will happen when things turn upside-down for the both of them? It's high school, and Dan has always been home schooled. When he gets to his new school as a freshman, he is instantly pushed aside as an outcast. The whole reason he was put into public school was his parents were moving away to live with his grandfather who was sick. So, he was to live with his dad's friend who also had a son his age. Phil was also an outcast, but he got along alright in school. Having to live with Phil and Phil's dad who was gone half the time, Dan and Phil get to know each other quite well. They soon bond over many things and Dan realizes he has feelings for Phil. But will Phil feel the same way? Will it work out?
