Dear Dark Skinned Filipina, I understand how you feel. I was born and raised in the Philippines, but now living abroad. If you're anything like me, growing up dark skinned in the Philippines (and short, for the matter), you've been a subject of ridicule and some form of discrimination. You've probably been taunted constantly by bullies in school. You have most likely tried every papaya soap and bleaching cream to no avail. Well I've got good news and bad news. first, the bad news. You will never change your skin color unless you go to extreme measures such that money can't buy. The good news: you will never change your skin color- it is who you are. I hope this book serves as a guide in navigating the crazy yet interesting life of dark skinned pretties in the Philippines and abroad. Most of all, I hope this book inspires you to rise above your temporary depression and are in the verge of dropping your hard earned allowance or paycheck on another "promising" whitening lotion because the beauty spa you wanted to work at only hires light skinned girls. Happy Reading!
