"Because you're mine." I swallowed hard, my breath hitching as his lips brushed against the sensitive skin of my neck. He inhaled deeply, his grip tightening. "There's something about you, something different. Your scent..." He let out a low, almost pained growl. "It drives me mad." His other hand ghosted over my throat, his thumb pressing lightly against my pulse. "I should keep you locked away, hidden from everyone. But even that won't be enough, will it? Because no matter where you go, no matter how far you run... I will always find you."
