Faith had always been different.  All her life she'd known the truth about her world, and all the worlds beyond it, her mind privy to secrets that helped her survive the End War and the century that followed.  Now that the Seventh Seal is broken, the last remaining Child of Man will face untold calamity as the forces of Heaven and Hell relentlessly hunt her down.  After all, knowledge is power, and hers could mean absolute victory for either side of the Balance . . . or the end of all Creation.

For possibly the first time, the Charred Council has disappeared. There are no traces and no clue to discover. They have just disappeared. In a way, they have gone dormant. The balance between Heaven and Hell is unstable; war rages like it has never before through the skies, the land, the water. All throughout the known universe and beyond they fight, destroying everything. Humanity has grown somewhat back, but, with Heaven and Hell fighting once more, their existence is dwindling. Through the absence of the Council, the Horsemen appear. With no masters, they are lost, confused. Secrets lie upon Earth's surface. Secrets lie in the remains of a human farm, owned and worked by a woman who has no clue of the potential that she stands over. Secrets lie with a group of humans fighting to stay alive and provide a living for others. Secrets lie in a mysterious place inaccessible to many. And the people they meet? Only stuff of the legends. The world is dying. Heaven and Hell have broken and collapsed, creating a post-apocalyptic landscape that is part purgatory, part platonic world of ideas, blighted by the horrors of the human mind. The sun lies dormant in the east, atop God's tower, while the west is plunged into darkness and haunted by all that lives there. There is no day and night cycle, nothing grows, nothing dies, nothing changes, unless magic is involved. Angels hunt creatures for their blood, to feed it to God so he can finish gestating. Demons kill and destroy aimlessly, their origins inexplicable and unknown. Stranger beings wander the ruins of what's left of the world. Humans need not eat or sleep, caught in a state between life and death. They cannot die or be born naturally, but they can be killed and they can be made. The few that survived with their sanity somewhat intact have locked themselves into warded cities, but their protections are feeble and often ineffective. The Order that united them is long gone, broken into factions known only by the sins for which they have fallen. The Houses that protected them are crumbling, falling into ruin as their members were culled down by angels and demons, as well as their own mad quest to save the world; the Pilgrimage, a vain attempt to steal into Eden and murder God himself. Soon, only the Scions will remain. Those that were left not due to merit, but because they were the last choice for being heroes. Those whose memories and minds are as damaged and eaten through as their world. Those who agreed to take on the mysterious Archons within their bodies and, through that contract, had ancient relics and rituals passed down to them. They converge onto a long forgotten neutral ground, trying to save themselves. A heroic journey through a nightmarish wonderland. A pilgrimage to God's tower, to make the world whole again. To cleanse the world of the horrors infecting it. To kill the God who will doom them all with his birth.

But he missed something. Melody. Melody is a sole surviving human that might not be one. She's too tough; she boxes demons and kicks full grown angels in between the legs like it's nothing. War has taken a vow to himself to protect her. Can he keep it? Death, oldest of the Four Horsemen, was sent against his will to Earth after he had just flung himself over the side of the Well of Souls. He is mentally torn and psychically he can barely walk. The souls of the Nephilim are gone- along with ever bringing them back from the dead for a second chance. What does he do when he finds a Nephilim that had been hidden for all of those years... And she happens to be the Nephilim that he used to have a soft spot for? Her name, Anna. Fury and Strife are twins, stuck in the middle of no where. Strife has no weapon that he calls his own; his two pistols had been lost to him for a while now and he has no idea where they are. Fury's just Fury, she's ready to go and kick the idiot who framed her brother. When they are summoned to Earth, they are separated and Strife gets kidnapped by Samael. He meets some... interesting people while he's away.

We aren't even sure if the cure works on them. Unfortunately, they aren't even our worse problems. The Last Riders, a chaotic group that for a long while did nothing but cause petty chaos and take lives whenever they could, have suddenly turned darker. They did terrible things before, but with the country split and the late leader being reveled as the monster she was, they've decided there's nothing left to live for. They're determined to take us all down. That's where I come in. As I put more effort in finding a cure for my immortality, as well as keeping my children safe and happy (one child in particular), I also must work remember put the most important things first-which is getting through this second wave of the apocalypse. It's a good thing we have Colonel Sage and... Veronica to help us. The question is though, can Abel really trust them? It seems we don't have much choice in the matter, but I've learned to keep an eye on everyone. And I believe I need to look back at the Vikings, learn from them and what we have from the Edda to figure out how to stop these V-Type zombies. It's time to be a warrior.
