Lyria Daniels-a budding reporter, she embarked on a breathtaking journey on the sea, filming the Sea Shepherds as they waged war against anyone who killed whales. She's stuck with her film team, a redhead, an Asian and a gender-fluid captain on the boat Neptune for an entire two weeks. A choice completely changes her view on life.

At the start, yes. Now? I stared out of the window, the setting sun illuminating the sea in a beautiful kaleidoscope of pinks, oranges, yellows and purples. I couldn't imagine why I'd aimed for the fame in the first place.
They are for the whales. My voice echoed. And so am I.

To complicate matters, this junior scientist's desire for a special friendship grows in intensity, just as mysterious murmurings and strange sightings intensify.
