Who knew two scoops of ice cream could have such an effect on your life?

Fern Ashby certainly didn't.

A chance encounter with the new boy in her grade, Dylan Ackerman, at the local ice cream parlour, leaves her wondering what on Earth God was thinking up there. Did it even mean anything? Was the writer of Romans right when they said, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him?" And if that was true - how could this situation be used for her good?

Navigating the chaotic whirlwind that is friendship, family, faith, and love, Fern has to search long and hard for the answers to those questions - as well as figure out if she trusts God enough to let Him guide her in the process.

Can she and Dylan work past their differences? Or is this a love story doomed to fail?
