Mackenzie is your average girl...she's strong, smart, independent, and like most girls, she has her demons to fight. However, Mackenzie is also different from most girls because she would rather read and listen to music instead of going to the mall. Everyone in her life thinks that she has everything figured out based on her smiles, laughs, and handle of school. Last but not least, there is a boy because what story is complete without a boy?

This boy hates Mackenzie, and he thinks that everything in her life is being taken for granted while he has no clue what to do or even if he can pay the bills. The name of the said boy is Zach Hunter. While working on a project together, Zach learns that there is more to Mackenzie that meets the eye, and he plans to figure it out no matter the cost.
