Prologue  
  I reached for the door handle, but he stopped me.    

"Please, dont." He breathed. A tear cascaded down his cheek.    

"If-" I was cut off when his lips crashed down onto mine. My fingers laced themselves into his messy brown hair.    

"I need you. So much, Ni."    

"I can't stay. You know that." Tears rolled down my cheeks, one after another.    

I walked out without another word, leaving the boy I'm hopelessly in love with crumbling, along with my heart.    

"It's for the best." I whisper towards myself. But I'm not convincing anyone.

 I swore I would never lie.   

I did. I wish I hadn't.
