17-year-old Audrey McCoy is a troubled girl. After her best friend Macie O'Callaghan died a year ago, she isn't sure who she is anymore. She sees Macie everywhere, and she is reminded constantly of the pain she goes through each day. She is struggling to keep up with her other friend, Savanna, who seems to be moving on easily. At the same time, 19-year-old Taylor Everett comes into her life. At first, Audrey pushes him away. But as they get to know each other, Taylor becomes determined to get Audrey to open up and find happiness again. But she isn't sure she's ready to put the past behind her.
