Skye and Arazia have been best friends since fourth grade. They lead normal lives until mutant hormones combine with teenage ones, and they get in a fight. Arazia and Skye are shocked to discover that they have powers, powers which are more powerful than most mutants. The two teenagers transfer to Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters, where they meet more teenagers like them. But not is all that it seems. Friends turn treacherous, love blossoms in unexpected places, and those closest may have been the enemy all along. (Edit: I'm so sorry that this exists. Jordan meets Angel one day on his Dad's yacht and he immediately falls in love with her. He's excited that Angel is one of the lucky few who were chosen for the luxury experience. When they arrive at the Forbidden Island, he's excited to show Angel and the students the tour of the Island, while staying away from a certain area. The Forbidden Island is said to hold a dark past. Angel and her friends leave the yacht and accidentally gets left behind when the yacht leaves. So they have to find a way off the Forbidden Island but it's more difficult than they thought. They decide to go to the area where the dark past took place. When they dwell deeper inside, they discover something truly magical.Concluida

Disclaimer: this book is lgbtq friendly, and has more than one love interest. there is no love triangle, but there is a poly romance vibe. it is teen fiction, so it does not get explicit. There are mentions of past bullying (but again nothing too explicit), a near-death experience when a character nearly sacrifices themselves for the good fo the group, and isolation-related trauma.
