Uncle Bobby Singer is more then just family friend, he practically raised John Winchesters children when he was caught up in finding what killed his wife.
Riley Winchester was left at her Uncle Bobby's house after an argument between him and her father about her safety. For practically her whole life she lives with the old man who is more of a father then her own.
Though after the boys run into some trouble finding their father and dealing with a little gun and a demon named Meg , Sam and Dean Winchester enlist the help of Bobby and ultimately their younger sister.
