The beast thundered behind her as she hoped for escape. She knew he was just playing with her. He could have caught her,but he enjoyed the chase.
She cried out as she tripped over her own to feet. Her body was betraying her. Every foot she ran, her body had ached in pain. Wanting her other half. But she wouldn't submit. Never.
She scurried back to her feet, wanting to wake up from this nightmare. But this wasn't a dream, this was her new reality.

[EDITED EDITION] Hera could no longer hear the clicking of her heels as she walked towards the Magic Fountain, the fountain that would protect her from possession of a Conjured. Mort, is the Alpha for the Red Crimson pack and I am his Beta, Taragon. He has recently found a mate and because of an accident that happened years ago after I found mine that caused her death, my punishment was that I would never have another mate.
