The Selkie's Coat

When Alannah O'Halloran gets the call that her father has died, it doesn't quite feel real. Until the day when she has to clean the house he left behind, she avoids the topic, pretending as if he's still around. However, while cleaning, she finds a coat hidden in the back of his closet. It's obvious that the coat is not his, so she is lead to believe that it belonged to her long-dead mother.

Unable to remember her mother, Alannah puts her coat on in hopes of remembering her, and gets a little more than she bargained for.
