Little did you know that they hold the key to the world. To another world. A world that is hidden from mortal view.
A world that is full of terror and destruction.
There are reasons that these things are hidden. Hidden from plain sight. Out of mind for mortals.
The main reason is that it's an easy way for them to die.

Things will not stay the same no matter how much we would like them too. When a life change occurs, we have two choices in how to respond. We can despair that a change has come and assume that things will be worse, or we can look with excitement at the new possibilities that the change presents. It has been said that life is the most patient teacher. You will be presented with the same experience over and over until you learn the best way to deal with the situation.. This is not because life is cruel. Rather, it is because things have a way of coming back to haunt us when we don't deal with them. One form of intelligence is the ability to learn from mistakes.
