Amber and Aaron have a baby girl. Once the baby is born Saphira acts weird then starts to disappear for a few hours everyday. Amber decides to follow Saphira when she leaves again,she leaves the baby with Aaron, who has no idea how to raise a half wolf, half human baby. Amber returns with news about Saphira. After two months Saphira looks different and Amber knows exactly why. The towns folk give Amber and Aaron some trouble, and send hunters after them with the intent of steering them out of the woods and away from the town.
