Nathaniel's hair turned white when he was twelve. At fourteen, his right eye changed to blue. Not just the iris, but all of it. A deep, dark shade, with his pupil split into four. At sixteen, he got two silver piercings that caused such extreme pain that he had to stay out of school for a month. Then those changes stopped, and Nathaniel considered them over, chalking his weird features up to some sort of genetic thing. He went on with his life, ignoring his deformities and the stares people gave him. He graduated high school, dropped out of college, got a job stocking shelves at a grocery store, and rented out someone's basement to live in. Normal stuff. He got fired from his job. That made him angry, but it was still a normal thing that people went through. Then a strange girl with pointed ears tries to kill him in his sleep, and normal is completely erased from the equation. Nathaniel is forced into a world beneath his nose, one that is stuck in a literal struggle between good and evil. And he's in the centre of it.
