He turned back to me as I took aim, "I want you to hit the morning glory in full bloom."

I narrowed my eyes and glanced at his self-satisfied expression before turning back to my target. I released all the air from my lungs and steadied my body staring down the arrow shaft and feeling the slight wind pull my hair. I pulled the arrow back further until I was confident and let it go. I watched it fly through the air and knew before it landed that it was a clean shot.

Without a word one of the soldiers retrieved the arrow and handed it to him with a perfectly full morning glory skewered on it. "Now," I said as I held my hand out for my arrow, " tell me what I want to know so we can both continue with our day?"

He regarded me with amusement, hiding his surprised expression, "I know your brother," he began and I felt my body relax immediately when he said know and not knew. He was still alive. "We trained together for years. He should be about fifty miles east of here taking care of a border dispute in Newpoint. And based on the many stories he has told me about his family I would guess that you are Winnie," he grinned at me mischievously.

I glared at him, guessing where this was going, and it was nowhere good. Before he could continue I lurched forward, grabbed my arrow and dropped it in its quiver, and returned my bow to its resting position. I pulled Hail around to leave but stopped, "If you see my brother before I do I want you to warn him that I will kill him myself if he ever worries me like that again."

I glanced over my shoulder one last time before clicking my tongue three times to spur Hail into a full gallop. I didn't really need this man, whoever he was, to tell Alek for me. I had made up my mind already of what I was going to do. I knew Alek wasn't coming home anytime soon so I was going to him. Joining the army as a soldier was the easiest way for that to happen and besides, it had always been a dream of mine.

I was born to fight.

"If I risk it all, could you break my fall? How do I live? How do I breathe? When your not here i'm sufficated. I wanna feel love, run through my blood. Tell me is this where I give it all up? For you, I have to risk it all, Cuz the Writing's on the Walls." This is a story about a boy and a girl. She loves him, and he want's her dead. But he vowed to keep her safe..But how can he keep such a dangerous vow? *EXCERPT FROM BOOK BELOW* "Our story is like the movies. The movies with the happy endings?" I yelled as he got out of the car. "No! Our ending is nothing like those movies Vana. Our story is the both of us risking it all and then ending up right next to Kyle." He said and sighed. And he was right. Our ending is that one fucked up movie that no on wants to go see. "SO YOU AREN'T WILLING TO RISK IT ALL!?! I yelled louder as the rain came pouring down. He turned on his heal and stomped twords me pulling me close to him leaveing no space between us. His lips came crashing down on mine making the butterflies in my stomach errupt with pleaseure. He pulled away and sighed as did I. He grabbed my hand and ran his thumb over the knuckle of my thumb over my tattoo thanks to his stupid game of dare or dare. "Look at the perspective of things Vana. You might see a smily face but I don't. I see a sad face. You don't want my happy ending. Trust me." He said and sighed again. "I love you so much Vana." He said and kissed the top of my head and then walked back over to his house. But he didn't really love me. If he did he would be willing to risk it all just like I am. But I am left just like Kyle had suspected. Alone and heart broken in the rain. Because I was always the one willing to risk it all. For him.

Nothing left my mouth as I stared at him in shock. He truly believed that I was part of this. The man, who I had lived with and served for months. The man who I had protected with my life and soul. I stood still while, as he backed away from me quickly. "I trusted you with my life." His cry pierced around the empty room. He looked so destroyed and hurt, but mostly his face portrayed rage and determation. "And I protected you with mine." I spoke back loudly. I didn't hear myself say it but I knew I did. I look into his eyes even from our distance they seemed to wallow me in darkness. "I gave you mine." My voice was quiet and cracked. His face changed only for a second before his old one took over again. He doesn't believe me. It doesn't matter what I say or do he won't listen. He will still believe I am the bad guy. Just as Kane said, we will never be equals, we will never be fellow humans. We will always be monsters to them. "Yakov, I am not the bad guy." I plead one last time. His Russian accent comes out harsh with his next words. "Your right," he pauses, "you are the villain." I stumble back as if I had just been stabbed in the chest. It was a horrible feeling. It was never good with the emotions and yet I recognize the feeling as heart beak. I barely breathe in air as I regain my posture. A battle cry from somewhere distracts me momentarily. I suddenly remember Ewan. I glare at Yakov one more time before I take off after the cries of battle. Jade believes she started the war among the human and her kind. Nothing is as it was portrayed. The lies and the truth are hidden among each other. There is is no clear good and evil. How can there be if one does not know what is right and what is wrong. She was prepared to see death, prepared to inflict death upon others without mercy or remose. She was prepared to do her job which the Facility had given her. But now it doesn't seem so simple anymore. Instead she focuses on keeping her friends alive.

I fell in love with Hansel seven years ago. I fell in love with a side of him that was sweet, caring, persistent and loving. He taught me what it felt like to be human, what it meant to love someone with all your being. And then he came: Klaus. He's declared war three years earlier than we predicted and it's forced Hansel and I to do the one thing we promised not to do: separate. We both joined the GUARDIANS in order to help, but in a desperate attempt to find where Klaus will open his portal and begin the war, Hansel gave up the one thing that was most precious to him: his memories of us. I promised him I would never give up on him, that I will help him remember. But that is coming out to be harder than I thought. The Hansel before me was an utter asshole. He was arrogant, pigheaded and sexist. He hates me for reasons unknown to me but I can't help but still love him. But it hurts to see the vacant look in his eyes. He doesn't remember me or our family and I can't tell him in fear of losing him- for good this time. He has no idea what he means to me and I'm too afraid to tell him. While he's trying to figure out why he can't remember the last seven years of his life, I'm desperately trying to get him to fall back in love with me. But I never thought it would be so hard. Alaric McQuillen. He's making things much more complicated than they have to be. He started from being a nuissance to being a nice distraction from my husband's coldness. Could I be falling out of love with my husband and falling in love with someone else? Now add the fact that we need to help prepare an entire army for a war to save mankind and you've got one fucked up month. ~*~*~ {OFFICIALLY COMPLETED!!} [Second Book to the Fervent Trilogy]

He looks like poison hiding behind a pretty face, seducing you to give in before he drags you to hell for sinning. I try and think of how I can lead him away without raising suspicion. But I don't end up having to do much because Judah soon blocks my way. "Why are you hiding from me little dove?" "I'm not." I whisper back. "How about we finish what we started that day?" I blush at the memories but quickly realize this is the best excuse to get him out of the spotlight. He takes my hand before we leave through the door and check a few rooms only to figure out that they're all locked. "The rooftop's door is open." As soon as he takes the first step I trip him but he finds his footing before swinging at my ribs. What I didn't expect was for him to pounce on me and pull my dagger out of my holster before stabbing my leg. Kicking his shin with my good leg I manage to flip us over. He's just about to throw me off when I land an uppercut to his jaw. I take out my gun to end this but just as I pull the trigger I'm grabbed. "No!" I struggle as I'm tied up before they check Judah. The wound clearly missed and isn't at all fatal. I watch as he sits up with a pained groan before his eyes meet mine. "I think I'm in love." He states breathlessly with a handsome grin. Hunter and I had known each other since we were children, the best of childhood friends that grew to more the older we got, he was my first kiss, my first orgasm, and I had even lost my virginity to him, we had had the same interests and the book of secrets was our thing, we had tried everything to find clues, I had thought he was my soul mate, but as i stood in our apartment, aghast!, as my jaw hit the floor when he'd said "he was sick and tired of looking for it and wasting his time with me to do it", i kept thinking this isn't him , it cant be, he's my soul mate and then my stomach dropped like a rock when he said. "I think we should go our separate ways, make a clean break, I've been thinking about it for a while now, I've got a job for a dig in Africa, and I am going to take it". Wow!, was all I could think, its like I meant nothing to him, 2 things happened to me at once, 1st I would make him pay for what he did to me , and 2nd id find the book myself and rub it in his stupid face. "Fine , go, see if I care", I said and I ran to the bedroom stuffed clothes into my overnight bag, passport and some money id stashed and headed for the door, I didn't even realise he was still here, until I almost ran straight into him. "Please we have to talk" he said "NO hunter, we don't" and I rushed for the door and ran for the elevator, once inside I heard footsteps running down the hall. "WAIT" he yelled "WAIT" WAIT"WAIT. Wait my arse, I said to myself, he rounded the corner, concern etched across his face, as the doors to the elevator slammed shut.
