Most people are scared of the dark. Cody Peeterse lives in it. Born blind, Cody has learned to adapt to the natural black of the world around him. For years he's envied the people around them for their ability to see, and most of all, the ability to perceive color. Something's he's always dreamed about. He's gone throughout his days listening to others around him talking of the beauty of Lodgepole, the lovely tourist attraction town in which he lives in; famous for it's notorious Harthworth Mines.

But when something other worldly rises from the depths of the mines and begins hunting the people of Lodgepole, Cody's inability to see may be more lucky than he thinks.
