To grant these miracles, she uses her magically black glitter, which has more power than she can comprehend. After performing a ceremony for a boy named Nick, Nick tells her it didn't work. She then sees Nick, and she finds out the ceremony's powers had no effect on him. She realizes he is a Chosen, like her. Chosen are the ones picked by the Spirits to carry out a fulfillment on Earth, like Kate's is to grant miracles to the mentally ill. Kate is put in charge of helping Nick accustom to his new life, and as she helps him uncover secrets, they slowly start to fall for each other, even though they are warned by the Chosen leader that two Chosens cannot fall in love. Soon, Kate realizes she is not happy with life as a Chosen. What will she do?All Rights Reserved
