Since her dad died her mother turned to drink and abandoned poor Sophie. Now she struggles to make ends meet as she continues to grow up. Then everything changes. Finding someone who sees her eyes as beautiful instead of hellish, Sophie begins to see everything in a new light. Could things start to change? Could she flourish with the help of this stranger?
