This is a story about individuals trying to make peace with the lives that they lived. It's a dark, depressing story with some humor beats here and there. It does tell of suicide and other sensitive topics. Told in hopefully a respectful way. The idea was for this to help me sort through my past and help my present state of mind. Yet, against all logic, I feel it-I feel the heat rising beneath my skin . The mere idea of his touch sends shivers down my spine, igniting sensations that I desperately want to ignore. This isn't right. I shouldn't crave the presence of someone I despise, but my body betrays me, responding to him in ways that my mind fiercely rejects. He stands so close that his breath fans across my face, warm and intimate, stirring emotions that I refuse to acknowledge. A slight movement is all it would take for our lips to meet, for this unbearable tension to shatter into something far more dangerous. His hands are braced on either side of my head, trapping me, yet he doesn't need to touch me to make me feel trapped. His body hovers just out of reach, yet I can sense him, every inch of him, as if the air itself is an extension of his presence. I shouldn't desire this man. I shouldn't want to close the gap, to feel the press of his body against mine. I should be repulsed, disgusted by how my thoughts betray my hatred. But my body doesn't listen to reason , it yearns for what it shouldn't, driven by instincts I can't control. "Afraid, are we now, baby?" His voice is a snarl now, filled with fury. "L-leave m-me," tears sting my eyes, but I refuse to let them fall. I'm scared of him, scared of what he'll do to my friend, scared of what he'll do to me. His grip on my hair tightens and I wince, choking back a sob. "Oh, why? Don't you like my hands on you, baby?" He mocks hurt that instantly turns back into anger. "But you were fine when that fucker touched you, ain't that right?" Then he pulls a silver knife out of his suit, twirling it lazily between his ink-covered knuckles and my blood freezes at the sight of that psychotic grin. ***** People quaked with fear at the sound of his name and me along with them. He was Demetrios 'the God' Nikolayev and he was first in command of Russian mafia. He was a true psychopath who enjoyed hurting people, and I hated him for that. The worst thing - he owned me. "Try to accept the darkness, because from now on, it will be your only light." I tried so hard, but I couldn't understand it back then. How possibly can darkness be light? ***** This is not a vanilla romance but a dark, toxic, perverted, obsessive story. The book contains mature themes such as foul language, bdsm, sexual and abusive content, kinks, blood, manipulation, etc. Please keep that in mind.

He leans in, his breath ghosting over my skin, every inch of space between us collapsing. "Still pretending you have a choice?" His voice is soft, almost amused. My throat tightens, but I force the words out anyway. "I don't belong to you." A low, knowing chuckle rumbles through him. Fingers tighten around my chin, tilting my face up until I'm caught in his unyielding gaze. Cold. Calculating. "Belong?" he echoes, as if the word itself is laughable. "You exist because I allow it. You breathe because I haven't taken that from you, yet." Tears burn at the edges of my vision, but I don't dare look away. "Fight all you want," he murmurs, eyes scanning my face, his grip unshaking. "Scream, beg, break--I don't care. In the end, little one, you'll learn. Because every part of you?" His lips brush against my ear, a cruel whisper of finality. "It's already mine." __________________________________________ A meaningless prank call caused this disaster, a series of deaths and misery. And maybe it was more than a prank call... maybe it was your loved ones, the people you least expect it to be, to stab you in the back. "W-What do you want?" I stammered, my eyes not leaving his gaze on me. "I want to prove you wrong." he smirks dangerously and speaks with his husky, deep voice. He took another step towards me and I took another step back making me collide with the wall. He hovers over me, his chest mere inches away from mine. He kept his hand on either side of me, caging me in his arms. He smirks dangerously and says, "That your body doesn't crave for my touch." He always does this, he intimidates me and then thinks I die for his touch. I would never allow his hand near me. Again. I grit my teeth and said "My body doesn't." He leaned closer to me, his hard chest pressing against my hardened nipples and whispered near my ear "Then why are you so nervous, rose?" He kept his mouth near my ear and his hand came on my bare legs. He slowly trailed his big, rough hands, making his way under my skirt. My breath hitched and he stopped mere inches from my core. No matter how hard I try to deny his touch, my body responds exactly the way he wants. My spine arched and my eyes snapped close.
