Scott ends up in a whole different universe when he falls asleep, one where he meets the fair guardian/goddess Mitch, Scott doesn't know what to think of Mitch when he first meets the goddess. The only words that pop into his head are... Where Am I?" and "Why is he so.. cute.?"
But in the 'Awake World' (As Mitch calls it) everything isn't so pleasant... Kirstie (Scott's roommate) and him are in a ton of debt, Kirstie works halftime at the Bakery and half time at a local Starbucks, whilst Scott works 3 jobs (Performing the piano at live gigs, Starbucks and a cashier at Walmart). Therefore Scott and Kirstie are always exhausted.. and tend to skip meals. Last time Scott has a full meal was about 11 years ago, when he wasn't in debt.
