After a machine Pidge was testing malfunctions, Keith and Lance are hit with a huge energy blast.

Nothing seemed to change, until both boys passed out at the same time.

When they woke up, Lance had turned into an Altean Prince, and Keith was stuck permanently in his Galran form. 

While the rest of the team tries desperately to fix them, the two are forced to spend time with each other despite their own wishes.

Over time the two develop such a close bond that it shocks the rest of the team senseless.

And who could blame them for being shocked? Keith and Lance didn't expect it either.
