As a young woman Selene bounced from foster home to foster home. Going from different orphanages and through the system. She was literally a wild child a constant flight risk just to get back to the home she knew in the woods.
No one knew though how important Selene was to the pack. Fact is that this particular pack were actually a tribe of shifters that had been cursed to stay in their animal form until their prince had an heir of his own.
Just so the prince could be protected he had to live amongst the humans with his protector. The protector also had the task of finding the heir.
