If the Drifter helps him kill the king, the man will give her half the king's possessions, including ancient artifacts of Reance. Intrigued not only by his offer, but by the man who studies her like she studies her prey, the Drifter accepts and begins a journey that not only tests her survival but her humanity, or lack of. As her journey's end nears, the Drifters finds her dreams haunted by the ancient people of Reance reminding her of the past she had run away from and forgotten. "The end," they say, they scream. "The end! The end! The end is coming!" But what is the end?
