This isn't just for Catholics either (although it does discuss Catholic morale) but for anyone who just wants to understand some prospective on modern day issues and more. Like every military staff, who was coming back home, he was still excited to see his fiancèe, despite him losing his job forever. It did not turn out the way he hoped it would be and caught her cheating with his best friend. That's when he started to lose all his hope in life and plot his own death. When life does not work his way he starts blaming God for it. Fortunately, he survived a car accident and was saved by a business woman named 𝘈𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘦. She helps him become a better version of himself and grow more into Christ, making him find the right path in his life again. These little hashtags pepper our lives. These are mine and how they represent me. At least that is how I wanted this book to be. It was to be a book of short articles using a hashtag as inspiration. However, it has grown and changed as I have. This book was birthed from my not-so-short social media posts. As I began engaging with people who don't share the same opinion as me, I dug deeper into trying to understand how I decided on my beliefs. I did some armchair research on Street Epistemology. If you haven't heard of it, YouTube it. It will get you to think! I did. I came face to face with what I believed, how I got there, and why. It also forced me to ask whether my beliefs are consistent with my morals and ethics. This book is my contribution to the marketplace of ideas. Hopefully, it stands up to scrutiny. If not, let me know. Maybe you will change my mind. Don't be afraid to join in the conversation; our fluid and diverse voices make our society unique.

There's probably a ton of reasons why you are feeling the way you are feeling at this very moment. Sometimes emotions just sneak up on us without our realization and we drown our pains or sorrows by adapting to a certain pattern of living. We develop coping mechanisms per se. What if there was a reason why you experienced what you experienced? Your pain could be the very thing that microphones your way to the person you are meant to become. It could be a highway through which people could walk on in order to find the hope they are looking for. Why you? Why does it have to be you? Why not anybody else? Better yet! Why not you? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Pretty silly huh? Really though, why shouldn't you be in that position right now? Why should it be anyone else? What if your situation could be the answer you were desperately looking for? You can either look at your pain in your own perspective or you could tilt the angle a bit and change the focus. What if you were looking at it all wrong and asking the wrong questions?

Book Two in the Grace Series. This can most certainly be read as a standalone, but I would recommend reading Grace first (and Something New before or after). Either way, enjoy: I spent my entire life trying to earn my parents' love and it just never worked. I wanted that same love Aunty gives me, from my mother. The same discipline Pops instills into me, I wanted from my father. I wanted comfort and care, and at the very least, their attention. It's all I wanted. But I never got it. Something within me still had some sort of hope that things could possibly change. I thought things could be salvaged at some point. I never voiced this to anyone else, but a part of me held onto that. That was shattered with the news they delivered to me. It shook me that they've been divorced, but what did the most damage was that they never even bothered to tell me. It's like they forgot they even have a child together. The people I lived and breathed for...didn't even seem to recall that I existed. That broke me. "I can't do this anymore," I repeat. Pops stares at me in silence before standing and disappearing. My mouth turns down in a frown, not expecting that, but then he comes back. I grit my teeth as he holds an item in his hand. I saw this very same item five years ago as well. The Bible. "Just like then, I won't force you into anything, Austin. You've got a choice-you always have. I don't know what made you try to walk away from the faith, but I'm still going to extend it to you." ~ Redemption: the action of saving or being saved from sin, error, or evil.

Having faith in something that literally isn't there but is is tiring. Also, the world hates you and you have to fight against the one thing you can't escape, sin. Choosing to fight this battle puts a target on your mind and sometimes body, and it can make or break you. ... Seems useless, right? Maybe, but it isn't, because either way it goes, we can't change it. It's scary, new, fun, and boring all at the same time. It's... not something humans would regularly do. (Completed) Earlier this year, a pandemic crippled the world... December 1 The earthquake hit. December 3 The waters came and the flood overpowered us. My younger brother and sister cry for our parents on the other side of the world. The only consolation I have is "Christmas is coming." My younger sister asked me how we could celebrate Christmas with nothing. I had no answer except, "We'll find a way." *** 2020 brought many unexpected things. The unexpected bad and the unexpected good. With the year coming to a close, I want to dedicate this story to the front-liners, to those living away from family, to the Filipinos affected by the recent typhoons and flood, and to my grandparents who have survived through so much and thrived through it all. Christmas time is the time to be reminded of HOPE, the hope that comes in Jesus' promised birth and life to live, PEACE, the peace that comes from the Prince of Peace alone, JOY, the joy that comes from a fresh start, a new beginning and the birth of a baby (Luke 2:5-7) and LOVE, the love that sent a King down on earth to be a baby so that He could experience life before He'd give His life for us so that we could live with Him (John 3:16) (Not edited.
