Hello fellow Wattpad readers! If you haven't been on my profile or read some of my stories, I am EXTREMELY passionate about Jesus and the Bible. So, this 'book' is going to be full of bible studies, verses, stories, worship songs, possible rants, and revelations that I have written down and/or discovered throughout my life as a Christian. I really enjoy spreading the gospel, and if you have any study topics, questions, prayer requests, or input, feel welcome to comment! You Can't Always Get What You Want (Rea's Song) by NoForestAllTrees

On March 28, 2020, I began a journal as my wife Rea, was nearing a pivotal point in her journey to uncover the underlying cause of some increasingly problematic medical issues. For the most part the text of this book comes directly from that journal. It has been edited as little as possible, mostly to correct typos, improve clarity, make the formatting consistent and remove some items which were copyrighted by people other than me. This account is raw and unfiltered. Rea-pronounced like "area" without the first 'A'-was my soulmate and inseparable partner for almost 27 years. She stood just under 5 feet tall. As her hair greyed in later years she took to highlighting the ends in a dark shade of purple. She was kind, inquisitive, and hard working. She smiled frequently, and cared deeply about her friends, family and the world around her. She loved music, especially live music and until very near the end, all I had to do was play Phish or the Grateful Dead and she would smile and start moving to the music. Her unique name came from her mother who combined a blend of family initials-Roy, her dad, and Ernest and Albert, her maternal uncles. I always believed Rea was one in a million. Tragically, I was right, but not in the way I ever would have chosen.

The world was full of trouble. Full of confusion and a catastrophic dilemma. One couldn't imagine at what destructive measure it would disintegrate into. While so many things were done to make the world a better place. At some point, it would later be revealed that the biggest problem was not a lack of educational facilities or a lack of health facilities. Believe it or not, Africa, also wasn't the world's biggest problem. The problem with the world today is sin. Sin brought about problems that would perpetuate into many more generations to come! It's almost unbelievable that someone would leave greener pastures to settle in a beat-down environment like Earth. One would wonder what this being could ever want. If life existed beyond the surfaces of our universe, why stay? If there was the possibility of walking with a glory that outshined the brightness of the sun, why hesitate? God cannot love us anymore than He loves our neighbor. His love tank is so vast that it accommodates everyone. Had He only sent Jesus Christ to the rich or the poor in African households, His love would then be conditioned to those that qualified. What makes His love so unique and strange is that He loves the broken and the sinners. He loves those of us that are unlikeable and unattractive. He persuaded His only son to die gruesomely to have all of mankind at His bosom. In the movies, opening doors and buying a bouquet of flowers is symbolic of love. In families, love is expressed in many different kind of forms. Even animals have ways in which they show affection. While all of that might stand out. It cannot be compared to the love of God. God can feel love, and He is love!

Like every military staff, who was coming back home, he was still excited to see his fiancèe, despite him losing his job forever. It did not turn out the way he hoped it would be and caught her cheating with his best friend. That's when he started to lose all his hope in life and plot his own death. When life does not work his way he starts blaming God for it. Fortunately, he survived a car accident and was saved by a business woman named 𝘈𝘣𝘪𝘨𝘢𝘪𝘭 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘦. She helps him become a better version of himself and grow more into Christ, making him find the right path in his life again. Having faith in something that literally isn't there but is is tiring. Also, the world hates you and you have to fight against the one thing you can't escape, sin. Choosing to fight this battle puts a target on your mind and sometimes body, and it can make or break you. ... Seems useless, right? Maybe, but it isn't, because either way it goes, we can't change it. It's scary, new, fun, and boring all at the same time. It's... not something humans would regularly do. These little hashtags pepper our lives. These are mine and how they represent me. At least that is how I wanted this book to be. It was to be a book of short articles using a hashtag as inspiration. However, it has grown and changed as I have. This book was birthed from my not-so-short social media posts. As I began engaging with people who don't share the same opinion as me, I dug deeper into trying to understand how I decided on my beliefs. I did some armchair research on Street Epistemology. If you haven't heard of it, YouTube it. It will get you to think! I did. I came face to face with what I believed, how I got there, and why. It also forced me to ask whether my beliefs are consistent with my morals and ethics. This book is my contribution to the marketplace of ideas. Hopefully, it stands up to scrutiny. If not, let me know. Maybe you will change my mind. Don't be afraid to join in the conversation; our fluid and diverse voices make our society unique.
