Sceattle is a place forbidden to any of glass- if it was seen or used, then you would  be sentenced to death, windows, are made of Asterya ( a crystal that can change any colour at the owner's will). If someone kept glass, then it would be put in "The Sleeping House" a place where everyone was banned to go .

When 15-year-olds start to disappear, the only remaining clue is a glass bottle. As Sam Davies' little sister goes missing, he gangs up with his best friend Jack Thorpe and quick- tempered Avery Swinters to solve each disappearance and rescue her.
