This is the story of Annalisa, the youngest of three sisters, despised by many for her mother's death at birth. 17 years later, Annalisa rides away to the forest and far away from the abusive village she once knew. She rides for weeks where she stumbles upon a supposed abandoned castle, where a Beastly master resides. But instead of taking her captive, he offers her room and board for as long as she pleases. Giving her the choice to leave...or stay. Roses tells the story of 2 people banned from civilization, but much like the rose itself, still finding joy and tender love beneath both the beautiful and beastly surfaces.

This retelling of the story Beauty and the Beast is set in the beautiful Emerald Isle of Ireland in the Regency Era and is a fresh new take on the traditionally 18th-century French tale.

Carmen had always found her life as a daughter of an antique shop owner to be ordinary and adventure-less. Almost all of the members in her town think she's odd and the richest man in town wants to marry her, but she wants something else. A wayward regency au one shot I wrote for fun, and because the concept wouldn't stop haunting my mind. ~ Trying to get back up after his ex-fiancé left him, Lord Arthur Pendragon relents to his friends and families idea of hosting a party in his family's estate. Although holding up hope for a new love that evening, he could not predict falling head over heel for a woman with haunted eyes, who secretly hides a crooked and wicked grin and a spark of intrigue unlike any he's glimpses before. After catching the sight of that side of her, and the way her families mistreatment severely dampens it, he finds himself sure of one thing. He's going to get her out their grasp, but doing so might be more tricky then first expected. Miss Harriet Frodesdotter is stuck in a hell of constantly being forced into a uncomfortable, lace covered, dress, into unbearably loud ballrooms, and dealing with condescending suitors that her controlling sister manages to steer towards her. The sudden approach by a Lord Pendragon does make her pause however, his sweet and concerned eyes appearing to be almost horrifyingly sincere as he offers to help her with her family issues. She doesn't trust him, he's not the first to claim to be her savour for purely selfish reasons, but something tells her that there's something more to him, and not in a bad way. ~ Content warning for ableism, family issues (including abuse, I don't perceive it as especially graphic, but it's there) and depictions of meltdowns.

Rell grew up hearing stories of the Human Realm, a fantastic world with light at the flick of a finger, metal boxes that fly through the sky; a fantastic, faraway fairytale that she knows is too good to be true. Because Rell lives in the Dark Realm: a world full of magical creatures and a low-hanging sky, all protected by The Blood Rose. Until the day the Blood Rose is stolen away and taken to the Human Realm. Without it, the two realms will meet with disastrous consequences, the human sun bleaching all the magic from the Dark Realm. And so Rell leaves everything she knows to bring it back. There's only one problem: the Human Realm- especially high school- is nothing like the stories. There's some sort of code with words like "twerking" and "Instagram" she can't understand, and then there's Bastien, the boy who hates Rell for reasons she can't explain. But when Rell realizes Bastien is keeping just as many secrets as she is, the two become an unlikely team in the search for the Blood Rose. Time is ticking, and more than just The Dark Realm is at stake. Whoever stole the rose is now cursed to turn into a Beast every full moon, and is hidden among them. Students are going missing, and dark creatures are slipping into the Human Realm. Rell needs to find the Blood Rose, slay the Beast, survive high school, and sort out these new, confusing feelings for Bastien--all before the night of the full moon. To fail could mean the end of The Dark Realm and every magical creature within, but to succeed means she'll lose the boy she's falling for, and a Realm more beautiful than she ever imagined. This is a story inspired by Beauty and the Beast by Walt Dysney. I got a lot of help from my good friend and I'd like to say thank you to her. This story is dedicated to her. Zaiden is a young, handsome, rich man with his whole life ahead of him. He is perfectly happy living his life, being rude to others and not caring about anyone other than himself. But, it all changes when a fairy comes to his door disguised as an old woman. She asks for shelter and a warm meal but because she had no money, he turned her down. She saw he had no kindness or love in his heart for anyone or anything except himself and money, so, she cursed him. His looks, changed, his house changed, his servants turned to stone. His life was turned upside down because of his mean character. And the only way to be free from the curse, is true love. Emily is just a young, normal girl. She enjoys spending her time in the woods with a good book, or with a notebook and pen surrounded by flowers and butterflies. At times, she dreams of what it would be like to have some one that loves her for her. Some one that she can love. But, sometimes, she shrugs it off as a dream that will never come true. Then one day, she gets found in the woods by a hideous man. He takes her by force and she's made to live in his cabin, not allowed to leave at all. Who is this man that captured her? Will Emily ever be free? Will she figure out who he is and why he wanted her? Will Zaiden ever be free from his curse? How will such a beast ever find love? A monster child. That was what they all called Forsythia. It was just because she was found in the woods at age ten with no memories. She had a traumatic event that caused her to lose her memories. Edgar and Elizabeth took her in as their own daughter. Her only hope to get through it was Lucas. Could he change? Could he actually forget about his terrible past and focus on what was right in front of him?
