This is the story of Annalisa, the youngest of three sisters, despised by many for her mother's death at birth. 17 years later, Annalisa rides away to the forest and far away from the abusive village she once knew. She rides for weeks where she stumbles upon a supposed abandoned castle, where a Beastly master resides. But instead of taking her captive, he offers her room and board for as long as she pleases. Giving her the choice to leave...or stay. Roses tells the story of 2 people banned from civilization, but much like the rose itself, still finding joy and tender love beneath both the beautiful and beastly surfaces.

This retelling of the story Beauty and the Beast is set in the beautiful Emerald Isle of Ireland in the Regency Era and is a fresh new take on the traditionally 18th-century French tale.

The Maiden's Mystery
This is a story inspired by Beauty and the Beast by Walt Dysney. I got a lot of help from my good friend and I'd like to say thank you to her. This story is dedicated to her. Zaiden is a young, handsome, rich man with his whole life ahead of him. He is perfectly happy living his life, being rude to others and not caring about anyone other than himself. But, it all changes when a fairy comes to his door disguised as an old woman. She asks for shelter and a warm meal but because she had no money, he turned her down. She saw he had no kindness or love in his heart for anyone or anything except himself and money, so, she cursed him. His looks, changed, his house changed, his servants turned to stone. His life was turned upside down because of his mean character. And the only way to be free from the curse, is true love. Emily is just a young, normal girl. She enjoys spending her time in the woods with a good book, or with a notebook and pen surrounded by flowers and butterflies. At times, she dreams of what it would be like to have some one that loves her for her. Some one that she can love. But, sometimes, she shrugs it off as a dream that will never come true. Then one day, she gets found in the woods by a hideous man. He takes her by force and she's made to live in his cabin, not allowed to leave at all. Who is this man that captured her? Will Emily ever be free? Will she figure out who he is and why he wanted her? Will Zaiden ever be free from his curse? How will such a beast ever find love? A dark retelling of Beauty and the Beast Annabelle Novacek has never much liked how people view her. She was a beautiful rose to be admired and protected. But she has always felt lanky and awkward; it was her two older sisters that were perfect. When her father comes home with news of a wealthy nobleman desiring her hand, the family are thrilled and she is whisked off to a small town outside of Paris. The journey doesn't go as anticipated and their carriage is attacked. Annabelle only just escapes with her life but she is flung out to desperately search for any sign of life. The local nobleman takes her in, but the longer she stays the more she hears about the dark secrets the village holds; a ravage beast that roams the forest and lies in wait for its next victim. A Lord and Lace (Regency au! Prince Arthur x oc)
A wayward regency au one shot I wrote for fun, and because the concept wouldn't stop haunting my mind. ~ Trying to get back up after his ex-fiancé left him, Lord Arthur Pendragon relents to his friends and families idea of hosting a party in his family's estate. Although holding up hope for a new love that evening, he could not predict falling head over heel for a woman with haunted eyes, who secretly hides a crooked and wicked grin and a spark of intrigue unlike any he's glimpses before. After catching the sight of that side of her, and the way her families mistreatment severely dampens it, he finds himself sure of one thing. He's going to get her out their grasp, but doing so might be more tricky then first expected. Miss Harriet Frodesdotter is stuck in a hell of constantly being forced into a uncomfortable, lace covered, dress, into unbearably loud ballrooms, and dealing with condescending suitors that her controlling sister manages to steer towards her. The sudden approach by a Lord Pendragon does make her pause however, his sweet and concerned eyes appearing to be almost horrifyingly sincere as he offers to help her with her family issues. She doesn't trust him, he's not the first to claim to be her savour for purely selfish reasons, but something tells her that there's something more to him, and not in a bad way. ~ Content warning for ableism, family issues (including abuse, I don't perceive it as especially graphic, but it's there) and depictions of meltdowns.Concluida
