To try and mend fences between their two houses, Tywin Lannister and Doran Martell make a match with Julieta Lannister and Oberyn Martell. However both house hope to use Oberyn and Julieta's heir as a pawn in the Game of Thrones which Julieta cannot allow. She seeks help from the only family in Dorne that the Martell's won't suspect: The Daynes.

Elios Martell is the son of Oberyn Martell and Julieta Lannister-Martell, the only trueborn child of The Red Viper. He was raised in Starfall as Arthur Dayne's bastard along with Jon Sand, Ned Stark's bastard. When Sarella Sand, one of Oberyn's Sand Snakes, finds her lost brother Elios must now prepare to enter The Game of Thrones.

Set a few years after Robert's Rebellion and during Game of Thrones.
