Marissa and Malinda are sisters who actually get along. Almost all of their great memories have included each other. They rarely keep a secret to themselves because they can't help but tell each other. When Malinda announces on Thanksgiving that she's getting married to Tristan, a friend from college, everyone is elated. Except Marissa and she doesn't know why. She convinces herself that she's not happy for her because she doesn't believe in love. But then she realizes that she is starting to feel something for Tristan. She tries to push her feelings away, but he's not making it an easier. Especially when he's constantly around the house for wedding details. How could she feel this way for her sister's fiance? As they say 'chicks before dicks' right? She can't betray her sister like this. Is she going to tell Malinda the truth? Or just act like nothing is going on. Join Marissa in a journey through love, heartbreak, and finding out the true meaning of sisterhood.

I chuckled slightly and shook my head. "Does that usually work for you? The cute little remarks and that nice smile." I teased. He gave me a sheepish look of surprise. "Most girls would be flattered at my attempt to flirt with them." I scoffed and shook my head. "Well, as a member of the "most girls" community, I can say that I am not." "Wow. That's a bit harsh." He gave me a smug look and crossed his arms. "Sorry," I shrugged. "I'm immune to boy charms. In fact, I think I'm allergic." "Well, don't think so highly of yourself. Just because you have cute dimples and a pretty face, doesn't mean I find you attractive." ------------------------------ Maya Cameron is a senior at Ohio State University and this is the year where you need to get your life together before you get pushed out into the real world. Writing is the only thing that keeps her sane after all of the trauma she's been though. With her mom and dad's unfortunate death, she's been left under the care of her evil step-aunt and forced to stay with her annoying step-cousin. As if college isn't stressful enough. And then there's this other guy in her life. They met online by accident and have been talking for months but she's not brave enough to make it something real. Will Ashby is the all-around superstar on campus. He's practically royalty because he's the running back on the Ohio State Football team: one of the best college football teams in America. Will is the person guys want to be and guy girls want to be with. But in actuality, he'd rather blend in with the background noise. His only focus has been football and finishing his degree. That was until he met this girl. He doesn't even know her name or what she looks like, but she's the girl he'd want to be real with. Because of circumstances, Will needs an English tutor or he won't be able to play. And much to her dismay, Maya is the perfect person for the job. Started: January 2021 Completed: October 2021
