The language you speak shows your class. If you can look at the speaker in their tongue you are either the same class you or higher. There is one national language that all must be able to speak in by the age of 8. There is one other thing that separates your class you magic abilities. Anyone below a merchant or shop owner. So when a young girl can understand and use all of the class languages, her parents start to worry. Thankfully they are farmers so when her power progressives her parents lock her away from the word. Only time she's let out is for school or to run errands. The young girl soon realizes that her power need to be held secret if she is to survive.
