All my life I ran away.
When things got tough my fight or flight instincts kicked in, and I always knew which I would choose. Fighting got me no where. I would rather be a coward then fight battles that got me no where. No where but pain and misery.
But for once, I don't want to run. For once, I want to stay. But what will it cost?
Weighing up my options, I realise that there is no place for me. Wherever I go there will always be the same people. The people that want me gone, and despise me for reasons even I don't know. I can change how I look but I can't change my luck.
And as I stare into my dieing friends faces, I realise there's only one thing I can do.
The one thing I do best.
And so I turn,
and run away.
